Bauer Radio’s online Sales Manager Lee Fletcher has joined Leeds based promotional signage company www.northernflags.com to help set up a new events and media department. Northern Flags taking print to the extreme. Northern Flags was task to print the banners for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. With Northern Flags turning around the print in 48 hours of over 750m2 of PVC banners to custom shapes for the motocross ramps along with sponsors branding. The arena featured Freestyle Motocross, Motorbike Trials, Minibike Freestyle, BMX and Mountain Bike Trials. Not only were all of these disciplines on show but they were all within one arena and riding at the same time showcasing some of the best riders in the world to the 180,000 strong crowd that attended The GAS arena performed two main shows each day throughout the 4 days with additional Mountain bike trials displays each day as well as the best trick competition from the Freestyle Motocross boys. The riders list reads as a who’s who within two wheel action sport with the likes of Red Bull’s Robbie Maddison, Jamie Squibb, Thomas Pages, Jeremy Rouanet and Chris Birch on the Freestyle Motocross. Dougie Lampkin, James Dabill and Alex Wigg on trials, Kye Forte, Leo Forte, Matt Priest and Lima Eltham on BMX, Danny McKascill, Martyn Ashton and Blake Samson on the mountain bike trials and Events Manager Stuart said “It’s another great event to add to our ever growing event database. Northern Flags wins two of the UK’s newest Marathon’s. Events Manager Stuart can confirm today that Northern Flags has been chosen as the print partner to Liverpool Marathon and the MBNA Chester Marathon. “It’s fantastic that we have sourced another two major sporting events to our portfolio. With both marathons having attracted more than 5,000 people taking place in their first year they have already secured themselves as major marathons within the UK” Northern Flags will be printing the flags, banners and other promotional items to help create the image of the event. We will supply a complete service to the company including providing the high quality sewn flags on Duke Street along with the iconic rooftop flags for the London Branch. Northern Flags have also confirmed that they will assist Selfridges with the maintenance and upkeep of the Flagpoles and look to work closely with the store on any upcoming promotional work. |

Group News- Dutch flags on all Thai government buildings

The Dutch Faber Flags Group has managed to secure an order for 50.000 Thai flags. These flags will soon be decorating all Thai government buildings both at home and abroad. It has been announced that Faber won the 'NTCC – Encouragement Award' during the twelfth annual 'NTCC – Beluthai Business Awards Ceremony for Business Excellence'. "Faber was thereby rewarded for its constant efforts where introducing top quality printed textiles, good working conditions and introducing innovative pro...ducts to the Asian world are concerned", according to Bert Cesar, Executive Director from the Dutch-Thai Chamber of Commerce in Bangkok. |

Northern Flags is pleased to announce their partnership with The Saucony Stanmer Park Races
|
The Saucony Stanmer Park Races will take place on Sunday 26th June 2011 in the scenic grounds of Stanmer Park, 3.5 miles north east of Brighton city centre. This new event is being organised by The Grounded Events Company, the organisation behind the Brighton Marathon. The race programme comprises an 8km run on grassland and woodland trail, a 1 km family run on grass, and a series of 2km races on grass for children in different age categories. The programme also includes two elite 5-mile races featuring some of Britain’s top distance runners competing against Brighton's young up-and-coming stars. Northern Flags will be responsible for producing all street branding along with flags, correx and PVC banners. Some of the past events that the group have been responsible or include The Manchester Commonwealth Games, The Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City and The Athens Olympics. Events Manager Stuart Maclaren said “It is great that we can be part of this event in its early stages. With more than 4000 people expected to take part in the events throughout the day it should be a great family occasion” There will be a number of special 'spot' prizes including free tickets to the Elton John concert at Sussex County Ground in Brighton on the evening of 26th June - these will be awarded to race participants in addition to prizes given to race winners.
