Northern Flags MD buys 25% stake in company

Northern Flags the UK’s largest supplier of Feather flags; event fabrics and soft signage today announced a change in ownership structure that brings Faber Vlaggen’s UK operation in line with its other international operations in Thailand; France; Poland; Germany and Holland where the company encourages senior management to retain a significant holding in the shareholding in their company. As a result Iain Clasper, UK Managing Director today acquired 25% of the share capital of the UK Subsidiary. Martin Koppelear Faber Vlaggen’s Group Chief Executive said of the transfer “Iain joined us almost a year ago to assist us accelerate growth in our UK operations and he hit the ground running helping deliver the fastest growth in our group over the past year, culturally we believe it is essential that our senior team are significant stakeholders to ensure they have the same ambitions as we do” Iain Clasper joined Northern Flags in June 2012 from Bauer Media where he held a number of senior positions in the broadcasting and publishing group. Of the acquisition he said: “I have found the past year one of the most enjoyable of my career, despite being such a large international group Faber manages to have a culture that is equally passionate about the quality of it’s products and the happiness of its clients – This together with an entrepreneurial ambition and zeal has been very liberating which has allowed me to rapidly invest in our UK operations. Buying a stake was a great opportunity to share in the business we are growing” The group operates in a matrix structure which allows it to offer a unique international delivery and production solution for large international clients. As the UK is the centre for many international agencies and print management companies Northern Flags is at the forefront of Faber Vlaggen’s European expansion. |
