"Meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs" - The Bruntland Commission 1987.
Environmentally sound
Northern Flags recognises that our work may have a direct or indirect effect on the local, regional and global environment. We are committed to reducing the harmful effects on the environment and promoting the understanding of sustainability in its broadest context.
Our Green policy is to constantly look for ways in which we can improve our green credentials; we are achieving this by forming a steering group to explore ways to achieve our statement promises and to link with other like minded organisations.
We are committed to sustainable development, to reduce the impact on the environment from our operations. We will address these impacts through an environmental management system by meeting the requirements of the international standard ISO 14001.
It is our intention to operate our business in an as environmentally friendly way as we can.
